Medical imaging produces pictures of brains and bodies that are naked and without emotional context, lacking passion, sorrow, and all the frailties, humor, and idiosyncracies of who we are. My focus is to saturate these cold pixels with the colors and emotions that comprise the fullness of a life, and, in my own case, to explore the personal reflections that within these images as self-portraits.
